Thought I would try and catch up a little and do another post just to keep you informed of what I have been so "busy" doing. I attend a craft group at a local nursing home and we are having a fund raising stall at the end of November.  We have all been making little things to put on the stall and below are some of my contributions - coat hangers, apple & pear pincushions, phone covers.

I have certainly had lots of fun making them, but need to do more.

While in Brisbane, I was given some gorgeous chilli fabric and have managed to do some lovely pot holders.  Guess what the family are getting for Christmas?

Ok, enough about those things -  back to the quilts.

While I was away, Lynda was busy completing more quilt tops.  The first was a lovely log cabin quilt from a class we both went to in Sydney with Barb and Mary from Me & My Sister Designs. We had a great time at the class - lots of laughs.  The fabric used is one of their new ranges for Moda - Hi De Ho.

The quilting pattern used is called Bowtique and looks great. I believe this is a special gift for a grandchild.

The second quilt has been sitting in my sewing room waiting for her to decide how she wanted it quilted. The quilt is a Bonnie & Camille Sampler and Lynda came down and spent the afternoon with me while I quilted it.  We had a great afternoon.

I thought taking the photos outside would give better colour, but the sunshine through the trees just makes it too difficult to get good pictures.  I will have to try something else.

I will leave it at that for now.  There are still more to come, so keep checking back to read all about it.

Happy sewing.

Spring is Here

Where has the time gone. Can't believe it's almost two months since I last posted.  Have to admit that I have had some technical issues with getting my photos ready for uploading, but they are now fixed.  All I need to do now is to be able to remember all that I have been doing in that time.  So here goes.  Hope you like it all.

First up was a quick trip to Brisbane to visit family.  We had a lovely time and spent a day at Roma Street Parkland.  Here are just a few photos.  The water dragons were very interesting to watch.
Lots of other things were done too, but no photos taken. Even managed a visit to a favourite quilt shop - Quilt Essentials at Eatons Hill and a new one (for me) Quilters Corner. Just a couple of projects added to the list of "things to be finished by Christmas" as a result.

Since coming back things seem to have been a little busier than usual. There have been lots of customer quilts - but I can only show you a few - and some personal finishes as well.

The one below was actually done before I went away, but didn't have the time to show you.  Lots of special memories for the customer and her intended recipient.

Well that's all I have time for now, so I will get this posted and then try to get outside and enjoy some of our beautiful sunshine.

Have a great long weekend everyone and Happy Sewing.
