Thought I would try and catch up a little and do another post just to keep you informed of what I have been so "busy" doing. I attend a craft group at a local nursing home and we are having a fund raising stall at the end of November. We have all been making little things to put on the stall and below are some of my contributions - coat hangers, apple & pear pincushions, phone covers.
I have certainly had lots of fun making them, but need to do more.
While in Brisbane, I was given some gorgeous chilli fabric and have managed to do some lovely pot holders. Guess what the family are getting for Christmas?

Ok, enough about those things - back to the quilts.
While I was away, Lynda was busy completing more quilt tops. The first was a lovely log cabin quilt from a class we both went to in Sydney with Barb and Mary from Me & My Sister Designs. We had a great time at the class - lots of laughs. The fabric used is one of their new ranges for Moda - Hi De Ho.

The quilting pattern used is called Bowtique and looks great. I believe this is a special gift for a grandchild.
The second quilt has been sitting in my sewing room waiting for her to decide how she wanted it quilted. The quilt is a Bonnie & Camille Sampler and Lynda came down and spent the afternoon with me while I quilted it. We had a great afternoon.
I thought taking the photos outside would give better colour, but the sunshine through the trees just makes it too difficult to get good pictures. I will have to try something else.
I will leave it at that for now. There are still more to come, so keep checking back to read all about it.
Happy sewing.
