Well, Ruby arrived and was set up by the wonderful people at The Finishing Touch - Kaye and Bruce Brown. And of course, rather than just getting the "lessons" underway, I wanted to get straight into doing a quilt. But of course, what else would you do!!!
You can see from the photo above that already the sewing space is becoming cluttered. Oh well, you can't be creative and tidy too!!!
The fabrics for this quilt were purchased while we were on our travels in 2012 from a little shop in Tumby Bay, South Australia called Patches at the Bay. When we got home, I saw this pattern in Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine (sorry don't remember which one and can't even remember the name of the pattern) and just altered the size of borders to get a full queen size quilt. The quilting pattern is called Modern Maze 2. I was really thrilled with the finished quilt.
