Thought I would be quilting my own quilts for quite some time, but I have a quilting friend who is a prolific producer of quilt tops. Lucky for me she is also a very busy working woman, and she delivered a bag of quilt tops for me to quilt. Only one was required in a hurry, so that was the first one on the frame.
The second one out of the "bag" was a very large Alphabet Quilt. Loved the pattern of Bubbles on this one.
A desperate call from another friend found me doing a rush job, so that a birthday present could be ready on time. Both the customer and I were very pleased with the final finish on the quilt. I am sure the recipient will be very pleased with it.
And to finish off the week, I had another quilt to finish. This was a special commission quilt. A very good friend had given me a pack of Chantilly charm squares by Moda and had asked me to make her a lap quilt. Must admit I was very pleased with how this quilt turned out. It's a very simple Disappearing Nine Patch pattern, but the fabrics make it look really fresh. Yet another happy customer for the end of the week.
Absolutely love the feeling of satisfaction that comes with finishing the quilt tops. Even better though is the delight on the customer's faces when they pick up their finished quilts. Fabulous!!!
